Hi, I recently installed Visual Studio for MAC community on mi Mac. In the days after, I tried to install Visual Studio for MAC PROFESSIONAL. Visual Studio doesn’t run natively on OS X, so my first step was to get Windows running on my MacBook Pro. (If you want an editor that does run natively, Xamarin Studio or Visual Studio. Currently, there is no way to utilize a product key to enable Professional or Enterprise entitlements for Visual Studio for Mac. To use Visual Studio Enterprise for Mac or Visual Studio Professional for Mac you must have a relevant subscription and be signed in to the IDE.

I am trying to install Visual Studio Professional for mac from here:

No matter which version I down load, Community, Professional or Enterprise it is always Community that get's installed.

I had the same problem. But was able to solve it with the following steps:

  1. Go to VisualStudio -> Account
  2. Log in with an Account which has the vs Professional/Enterprise license
  3. Restart Visual Studio

After these Actions the window title states 'Visual Studio Enterprise 2017 for Mac'

It is possible that Visual Studio will not let you log in because it thinks you are not online. If you are on Wi-Fi try connecting with a wired connection.
